If you aren’t getting a ‘seat at the table’ perhaps it’s time to ‘move the table’!

A friend of mine, long time in executive management in retail established a ‘command and control center’ which took a pretty big budget to establish and a continuing expense to operate. To fund this program he ‘moved the table’ and by that I mean he made the CCC ‘the table’ which he used to show other departments in the organization how they could use this investment to improve their company contribution.

Asset Protection is just a ‘name change’ from Loss Prevention unless you do something to ‘move the table’ in your company. IF you have a way to access data that will provide others in your company with insights into their part of the business that they don’t have today...what are you doing about it? IF you don’t have a way to access that data...what are YOU doing about it??

You can’t grow personally OR your department by staying the same. You need to expand your value to the company and your contribution. It has to be shared with others. By ‘moving the table’ rather than just looking to have a ‘seat at the table’ you are bringing other departments in the company to ‘your table’ which increases your value to them and the company.

Don’t let Asset Protection be just a ‘name change’ in your company.
