Mid-Atlantic Region
 

 

Job Summary
 
The Director of Sales is responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue and profit goals for the assigned region. The individual will be accountable for specific accounts within their designated area and will manage core business while focusing on new business with an emphasis on growth. The Director of Sales will increase BSI’s market share, assist the BSI sales team in collaborative selling and most important represent BSI in a professional and courteous manner.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 

● Achieve/exceed all sales goals as established by the strategic plan for the region
● Develop annual sales plan to meet BSI’s corporate goals and objectives
● Execute corporate initiatives as directed by Vice President of Sales
● Continually focus on core and new account development
● Develop monthly 30-60-90 business activity to include new tests
● Provide weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting on customers and product needs
● Provide assistance with all corporate functions to include customer service, warehouse and finance requirements
● Attend strategic trade shows according to corporate directive
● Conduct periodic account reviews to management as requested
● Manage region effectively with solid negotiation and strategic sales skills
● Spend 70% of time traveling and interacting with clients
● Operate within established expense budgets for region
● Assist in the sales goals developed as a whole for the company


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
 

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
● Minimum (5) years sales experience in Retail Security Solutions or related field preferred
● Experience selling or dealing with Merchandise Protection Solutions in retail
● Individual with experience working with Loss Prevention or Asset Prevention
● Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills
● Confidence calling on “C” level executives and prefer National Retail Chain experience and knowledge
● Self- starter with attention to detail and ability to build relationships quickly
● Computer proficient particularly within Microsoft environment
● Excellent communications, motivated and team player
● 70% travel is required and expected
