ORC - Three arrested in retail theft ring in San Diego 
Three arrested that are connected to a series of thefts at various grocery stores and pharmacies in Southwest County, according to a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Searches turned up stolen items from grocery stores, pharmacies and hardware stores in the cities of Menifee, Murrieta, Perris, Moreno Valley and Corona, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Tim Elwell said. Authorities also arrested 42-year-old Camilo Rivera of Nuevo and 35-year-old Eric Rivera of Perris on suspicion of second-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony, according to jail records. Both are being held at Southwest Detention Center in French Valley in lieu of $5,000 bail. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call investigators at (951) 210-1000.

ORC Gang of three sold stolen goods on Trade Me in New Zealand 
A shoplifting trio with a penchant for books and drugs spent two years "going to work" raiding stores and selling hundreds of stolen items on Trade Me. The trio pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including theft, conspiring to steal, and using a computer dishonestly. Nine involved Davidson, 32, and his partner Dewar, 28, or his flatmate Cornish, 34. The other offences were carried out individually. Mostly they stole books, which they sold on to buy drugs. Between August 2010 and June 2012, Cornish created over 700 listings on Trade Me, with 60 successful auctions netting more than $2000. (Source tvnz.co.nz)

3 or 4 suspects hit Wal-Mart stores with stolen checks in Uniontown, PA.  State police said they're looking for three to four people who passed a total of four stolen checks on Wednesday. After making purchases with the stolen checks, the people went back to the store about 20 minutes later and returned the items for cash at the customer service area, police said. Sephora Loss Prevention agents apprehend a serial shoplifter at Staten Island Mall; foil booster bag and $1300 of merchandise recovered.  Tara Rivera was apprehended as she left the Sephora store with $1300 of concealed merchandise. Rivera has 13 prior arrests and 11 convictions, mostly for theft-related misdemeanors. (Source silive.com)
