Verisk
Retail Launches LERPnet Falcon
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., June 2013 - Verisk Retail has
launched LERPnet Falcon, the third major release of the
Law Enforcement Retail Partnership Network (LERPnet)
data-sharing platform. The new release adds greatly
enhanced performance and user-interface updates,
providing retailers and law enforcement with a
significantly improved experience for sharing incidents
related to retail crime. Verisk Retail is a unit of
Verisk Analytics (VRSK), a leading source of information
about risk.
"The exceptional enhancements in responsiveness,
functionality, and user experience will be noticed
immediately," said Johnny Custer, LERPnet program
director. "LERPnet Falcon is the culmination of
invaluable input and guidance from our user group,
Retail Advisory Board, and Law Enforcement Council.
We`re excited to see the LERPnet platform continue to
evolve to meet the changing needs of both our retail and
law enforcement users."
LERPnet is a browser-based solution, allowing the system
to be updated and improved without downtime, complex
rollouts, or internal IT support. This significant
update is immediately available and presented to all
users upon login to the system.
"Verisk Retail is looking forward to bringing
collaboration to retailers and law enforcement via the
LERPnet solution," added David Duhaime, vice president
of Verisk Crime Analytics. "Verisk Retail continues to
invest in the integration of data sources to bring
meaningful insights and to facilitate internal and
external collaboration around data analytics for our
retailer partners."
LERPnet is one of more than 15 retail-oriented solutions
within the Verisk Retail suite of analytics solutions.
First launched in 2007 as a joint effort of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, the Retail Industry Leaders
Association (RILA), the National Retail Federation
(NRF), and the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), LERPnet
is a secure, national system designed to bring local,
state, and federal law enforcement agencies and
retailers together through its unique
information-sharing and crime-tracking capability. With
the ongoing support and endorsement of NRF, RILA, and
FMI, Verisk Retail assumed and has maintained
responsibility for LERPnet since 2011. Additional
