ORC couple sentenced to prison in gift card scam that hit 20 retailers in Oregon
The California couple got 7 1/2 yrs in prison and 4 1/2 yrs probation after being arrested in November when police found evidence of 150 identities and "tons of other people's records." He says they also seized a machine to make fraudulent gift cards. Up to 20 businesses took the cards. Brown said the district attorney's office is still totaling the losses. Bradley Nicholas Stay of Fresno was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison. His girlfriend, 34-year-old Cherice Leona McMillian of Clovis, was sentenced to 4 1/2 years of probation. 4 arrested in Roswell, Georgia shoplifting ring
Detectives believe the quartet has stolen from the same Kohl's location previous times and at other locations in Metro Atlanta. 2 of the suspect are also facing charges of theft from Dillard's in Arbor Place Mall. Dec. 28, Security called Police when they saw the crew making a break for the getaway car, and officers quickly apprehended them before they could make off with the 41 bags of merchandise. ORC male duo busted at The Woodlands Mall in Houston with $6,000 worth of merchandise from several stores  Two Houston men led a Montgomery County Precinct 3 constable’s deputy on a chase through The Woodlands Mall Wednesday afternoon after allegedly shoplifting more than $6,000 worth of items from several stores. These people are professional thieves,” Chief Matt Rodrigue stated in a release. “The tactics and tools they were using are not seen with just your average everyday shoplifter. New Jersey man pleads guilty in Home Depot multi-state theft ring
A New Jersey man has admitted his role in a multistate theft ring that stole from Home Depot stores. New Jersey's U.S. attorney's office says 28 year-old Daniel Chalet of Bloomfield pleaded guilty Thursday to a wire fraud conspiracy charge. Prosecutors say Chalet conspired with others to defraud about 70 Home Depot stores of more than $470,000 in refunds or store credits. The stores were in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. (Source abclocal.go.com)

Man Uses Stolen Credit Card Numbers To Buy Tablets in Tennessee
A man is wanted for multiple counts of credit card fraud for allegedly using stolen credit card numbers to make purchases across the mid-state. Investigators in Coffee County, TN said the man used three stolen credit card numbers from Ascend Credit Union, and created new cards to use for purchases. He then allegedly used the cards to buy tablets at retail stores in 100 Oaks, Cool Springs, Mt. Juliet, Shelbyville, Tullahoma and Manchester. (Source newschannel5.com)
