UK’s Shoplifting Gang Has To Pay Back $229,999. The leadership of the gang finds that crime does not pay after the Economic Crime Unit finds you. The ECU determined that the leader was responsible for nearly $250,000 in theft, he is repay $120,000. If not repaid to the Crown Court, the suspect will face an additional 21 months in prison. Police obtain information leading to the arrest of six for theft, possession, and receiving stolen property. Upon the arrest of one suspect at Wal-Mart for returning stolen merchandise, they travelled to a local hotel and raided three rooms. Numerous items were recovered.
