One suspect was arrested and others were cited following what Coolidge, AZ Police believe was an organized retail thrift spree. Safeway reported four shoplifters left in a Nissan. Police in a Circle K parking lot conducted a stop on the vehicle where the suspects were apprehended. Numerous stolen items were recovered from the vehicle. The theft spree began at a Family Dollar and continued on to a Safeway, Dollar General, Dollar Tree and Walgreens. "The detectives are looking to make a case of organized retail thrift. Kids were used a ruses and there were lookouts," said Police Cmdr. An investigation is ongoing. (source trivalleycentral.com)

TJX officials identify man using counterfeit checks at various retail stores in Myrtle Beach and notify police. An employee of TJ Maxx called police to report that the suspect that they report earlier was in the store and used a counterfeit check to pay for $126.41 worth of items. While on the phone with police the employee said he ran from the store to his vehicle. An officer in the area tried to stop the vehicle, but he sped away, struck a bicyclist and was then stopped. When officers searched the vehicle they found merchandise from TJ Maxx and Marshalls. (source myrtlebeachonline.com)
