Charlotte, NC police are battling a big spike - 20% - in shoplifting cases this summer and blame ORC Now, several police divisions are working together to deal with the problem. In South Charlotte's Steele Creek division, there have been 48 cases of shoplifting since July 1. "That's a 33 percent increase from last summer. It's the same people committing the crimes over and over and over again," said Officer Williams. Officers said they're part of organized retail crime rings that steal clothes, medicine and hygiene products, and electronics. (Source wsoctv.com)

"Greenville Grabbers" were busted as a known ORC shoplifting ring hitting a Wal-Mart store in Monticello, Arkansas The Pittman Faimly, of Greenville, MS, arrested for their recent thefts of computer games and school supplies from the Monticello Walmart, also were being sought by autohrities in Crossett and McGehee, for high dollar thefts there, including ipads and laptop computers. Willowbrook Mall, NJ Apple store gets hit by ORC three male suspects for 36 iPods valued at $8,000 and may have hit before A man working in a group walked into an Apple computer store at Willowbrook Mall last Tuesday morning and began stuffing a bag with iPods before a store attendant noticed him, setting off a car chase that involved police in three towns. Officers arrested three men in Clifton they suspect are involved in the theft and recovered 36 of 37 stolen iPods valued at more than $8,000. Employees of the store told police Tuesday’s theft was similar to a theft at the store two weeks ago. Detectives are investigating possible connections between Tuesday’s theft and the earlier one. Suspect arrested for a second time this month stealing baby formula. Palmdale Police have arrested Tiffanie Seniguar for a second time and she is believed to be tied a major theft ring hitting Southern California. Armed with an arrest warrant, detectives went to her Palmdale residence and arrested Tiffanie Seniguar for the Palmdale incident on June 25, 2012. During her interrogation, she admitted to being involved in multiple incidents. (Source scvnews.com)
