ORC group arrested passing counterfeit $20's and using customers credit card numbers to purchase gift cards at Sam's Club and Wal-Mart in Tallahassee, FL. Wal-Mart Loss Prevention alerted the police after witnessing a cashier accept 25 counterfeit $20's and when tracking the counterfeits down to a residence found an employee of Sam's Club that was also under investigation for a series of credit card fraud related thefts. The Sam's Club employee was observed writing down credit card numbers from customers and then using them to purchase gift cards. Hawkins, a cashier at Sam’s Club, would then swipe the gift card during a cash purchase to pay for it and then pocket the cash. (Source wctv.tv)

ORC suspect gets 2 to 5 years in prison for her role in a ring that hit CVS and Rite Aid drug stores in the northeast
. In determining the sentence, Pike County Judge Joseph Kameen noted that Dalton had 56 previous arrests and 41 convictions dating back to the 1980s. She was part of a foursome that had been in a car with more than $6,000 in stolen items from the other Rite Aid on Harford Street in Milford, the CVS Pharmacy in the Eagle Valley Mall in East Stroudsburg and the nearby Weis grocery store in East Stroudsburg. Further investigation revealed that Dalton was part of an organized retail theft ring centered in New York City. (Source poconorecord.com)
