RxPatrol - a web-based program to help combat pharmacy theft. RxPatrol (which stands for Rx Pattern Analysis Tracking Robberies & Other Losses) was started in 2003 and currently boasts 6,390 members, 55 percent of them law enforcement. The website includes a database where law enforcers, pharmacists, and loss prevention officials can see where robberies have taken place. "It’s a tool for pharmacists to be aware of what’s going on in their neighborhood," said Luis Bauza, Purdue Pharma’s director of investigations. (Source RxPatrol) (Source supermarketnews.com)

ORC duo on their way across country hits three Wal-Mart stores stealing electronics gets busted in Michigan Larceny spree that spanned three Wal-Marts in as many states came to an end in Woodhaven, Michigan, last week when two males were busted loading flat-screen TVs into a shopping cart and heading for the exit. They had already hit two other Wal-Marts in Ohio and Pennsylvania and their stolen car was loaded with electronics. In interviews with detectives, Bilkovsky and Lostraglio said they were California-bound and made a detour through Michigan to see Bilkovsky’s mother.
