Minnesota woman that hit Target sentenced in Federal Court on counterfeit checks case must pay $45K in restitution. Ci’Preaunni Ja’Von Stewart admitted that she and Ryan Lamarr Chambers used counterfeit checks to purchase gift cards and merchandise primarily at Target stores. The counterfeit checks went undetected for days because the defendants claimed the checks were traveler’s checks. (Source patch.com)

Prescott, Arizona police arrest 2 men in Verizon store robberies, one is a former employee. Prescott police said they have linked a former employee of a Verizon store to a robbery there on Friday. Nicholas Allen Lackey was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of robbery. Investigators said they also linked Lackey to a previous burglary at the same Verizon Store on Aug. 20.
