British Columbia’s Peoples Jewellers hit for $140,000 worth of merchandise in overnight break-in. Thursday morning, an alarm was activated at the Tamarack Mall in Cranbrook, BC the Royal Canadian Mounted Police responded and found that Peoples Jewellers located inside the mall had been broken into. Upon review of the video surveillance police noted three male subjects entered the store and removed $140,000 worth of jewelry in three and a half minutes. Peoples Jewellers is the largest retailer of fine jewellery in Canada and is a division of the Zale Corporation. (source dailytownsman.com)
