Austin, TX: Lowe's busts man stealing Washing Machines
Austin police say over the past few months a man entered several Lowe's Home Improvement stores, loaded up a washer and dryer on a cart and wheeled them out without paying. But the thief's luck finally ran out. On February 4th, a man identified as John Carline was stopped by a Lowe's loss prevention employee as he was pushing a washing machine out of the store without paying. According to the police affidavit, the loss prevention employee was able to link Carline to 6 other thefts from Lowe's through still photographs and store video. In a written statement to the employee, he admitted to stealing the big ticket items. A criminal history check by police revealed prior convictions for theft. Memphis, TN: Man wanted for stealing thousands of dollars in beer from Kroger Steven Richardson,49, is accused of stealing beer from the Kroger on Lamar but Kroger claims he's stolen a whole lot more than just a 6-pack, he's targeted multiple stores for beer. Kroger couldn't saw which stores were targeted and wouldn't give details about the kind of beer he's accused of stealing or how it says he keeps getting away with it. West Palm Beach, FL: Man, 74, caught pilfering 65 pairs of panties from store
A customer told the manager that a man was stuffing merchandise into a large shopping bag. The manager of the Palm Beach Outlets store saw the man leaving the store and stopped him. The $520.80 worth of items recovered included 65 pairs of panties and seven pairs of socks. The 74-year-old ma was arrested and taken to the county jail. palmbeachpost.com

Stockton, CA: Repeat Offender targets meat counter in store robbery
A man walked into a store in Stockton, threatened the manager, then took off with hundreds of dollars worth of meat. Police say the suspect is known to employees at the Walmart along March Lane, and has been known to take items in the past. He walked into the store Monday afternoon and reportedly told the manager "If you come near me, I'll stab you".
