Atlanta, GA: Burglars smash threw wall to steal $10,000 of merchandise from Boost Mobile
Workers are patching up the hole in the wall left by burglars who broke into the Boost Mobile Friday night. Surveillance video showed at least two masked burglars coming in through the back of the store after they made a hole through a wall. The burglars were also seen breaking the hinges off a door, and stealing about $10,000 in merchandise. wsbtv.com

 

Pair charged in $18,000 theft from SuperValu Distribution Center
According to Police, an internal investigation conducted by SuperValu confirmed a theft of groceries - including meat, dairy and nonperishable food items - on a number of occasions.

One of the suspects was a security guard at SuperValu contracted through Barkley Security. According to the arrest report, SuperValu's general manager said if McNealy took the products on a weekly basis, as he said he did, then he stole about $18,000 worth of food during the three-month time frame. gadcotimes.com

Providence, RI: 73-year-old ran Organized Retail Crime operation out of social club
State Police on Friday announced the arrest of Richard Tiberi. Tiberi is charged with receiving stolen goods more than $1,500, soliciting another to commit a crime, and conspiracy.

The arrest was the result of a month-long investigation initiated by the Rhode Island State Police Intelligence Unit. Police say Tiberi oversaw an illegal retail crime operation out of his home as well as the Decatur Social Club. On Aug. 25, State Police executed the search warrants and seized stolen items valued at $5,553. Tiberi's criminal history includes 15 arrests dating back to 1962. valleybreeze.com

Lehighton, PA: Three charged in 6 Lowe's theft and fraud incidents
James McMurray, 34, of Lehighton, Austin Miller and William Tworkowsky participated in six cases of fraudulent returns and thefts amounting to $1,095 in merchandise at the home improvement store. Lowe's put in a complaint concerning the returns and an investigation by Police found the additional offenses. tnonline.com

Livonia, MI: Woman busted scanning hundreds of dollar of merchandise with UPC sticker on her finger
The suspect was seen by a loss prevention employee and was recognized by them as someone who has been suspected in other crimes in other stores in the area. The suspect was seen scanning several items, but the same price came up for all of them. It was discovered the suspect had a UPC bar code on her finger, and was scanning it for all of the items, paying several hundred dollars less than the retail value. hometownlife.com

Memphis, TN: Four men rob jewelry store, steal Rolexes
Sissy's Log Cabin Jewelry was robbed around 2 p.m. Saturday. An employee called 911 and said that four males entered the business, smashed displays with hammers, and left the scene with several Rolex watches.
